Privacy Policy

Who is responsible for your information

Meno is a small project built by a team of four. Ryan Hirsh is responsible for the personal information described here. For questions, requests, or complaints, email Ryan.thinker.dev@gmail.com. If applicable law gives you a right to contact a regulator, you may also complain to the data-protection or privacy authority where you live.

Information we collect

• Early-access information: work email, business stage, where you heard about Meno, any detail you enter for “Something else,” and any optional phone number or company name you provide.
• Account information: name, work email, account identifier, authentication status, and security records. Passwords are sent to our authentication provider for verification and are not stored in Meno’s application database in readable form.
• Founding Table information: founder and company names, company website, seat count, table status, stamp or design preferences, names saved for invitees, claimed-seat names, and related application or cohort-review information.
• Communications: information you include when you contact us or respond to program communications.
• Technical and security information: network address, request metadata, timestamps, device or browser information made available through standard web requests, security events, and one-way hashes used for rate limiting. Hosting providers may process a network address before Meno creates a hash.

We usually collect information from you. A Founding Table owner may also provide an invitee’s name to reserve a seat. If you provide another person’s information, you must be authorized to do so and should direct that person to this policy.

How we use information

• receive, review, and respond to early-access and Founding Table applications;
• understand how people discover Meno;
• create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and maintain sessions;
• create tables, reserve and claim seats, issue private claim links, show table progress, and conduct cohort review;
• create requested personalized program materials, such as a Founding Table stamp;
• communicate about a request, account, table, cohort decision, security issue, or material policy change;
• operate, troubleshoot, protect, and improve the Services; prevent fraud, misuse, and security incidents; and enforce our terms;
• comply with law, preserve evidence, and protect the rights and safety of users, Meno, and others.

Where a legal basis is required, we process information to take steps at your request and provide the Services; for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the programs; to comply with legal obligations; and, when required, with your consent. You may withdraw consent for future processing at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing already completed or processing supported by another lawful basis.

How we disclose information

We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to service providers that help host, secure, authenticate, and operate the Services, including Vercel and Supabase; to professional advisers bound by appropriate duties; in connection with a financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of Meno; when required by law or valid legal process; or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security. Providers may process information only for the services they supply to us, subject to their agreements and applicable law.

Table members can see company information, table progress, and the names associated with seats at their table. A private claim link can reveal the relevant company, seat number, and reserved name to anyone who possesses the link, so recipients should treat it as confidential. We do not place a company on the public cohort marquee or otherwise publish its participation unless the table is accepted and Meno has authorization to make that listing public.

Sale, sharing, and advertising

Meno does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use third-party advertising trackers. We do not knowingly use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under applicable California law. If these practices change, we will update this policy and provide any legally required choices before the new practice begins.

Cookies and similar technologies

General marketing pages do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. When you sign in to Founding Table, we use an essential, HTTP-only session cookie to keep you authenticated and help protect your account. It expires after approximately one hour unless cleared sooner. See our Cookie Notice for more.

Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including operating the programs, maintaining security and audit records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Founding Table sessions expire after approximately one hour. Private seat-claim links have no automatic expiration today and may remain usable until the seat is claimed or the link is replaced; keep them confidential and contact us if one was shared with the wrong person. Account, waitlist, table, and correspondence records are retained while the relevant program or relationship remains active and for a reasonable period afterward. We then delete, aggregate, or de-identify the information unless law or a legitimate dispute requires longer retention. You may request earlier deletion, subject to lawful exceptions and information needed to protect the Services.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, short-lived sessions, one-way token storage, rate limits, and encrypted transport. No online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur. Keep passwords and claim links confidential and contact us promptly if you believe an account or link has been compromised.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied request. You may also opt out of promotional email by using any unsubscribe method provided or contacting us. To submit a request, email Ryan.thinker.dev@gmail.com from the address associated with your information and describe your request. We may verify your identity and authority, and legally permitted exceptions may apply. You may use an authorized agent where local law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

California residents may request the categories or specific pieces of personal information collected, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients, and may request correction or deletion where the law applies. Because Meno does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no such activity to opt out of today.

International processing

Meno and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose laws may differ from those where you live. When applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or additional safeguards, we use legally recognized measures for the transfer. Contact us to request more information about applicable safeguards.

Children

The Services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate deletion steps. Users must also meet the age requirements in our Terms.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Services, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Material changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise.
